OpporTUNEity’s mission is to break the school-to-prison pipeline through transformative, music-based education while fostering stronger connections between post-secondary music programs and their communities. We provide accessible, high-quality music programs for youth from low-income backgrounds, individuals in correctional facilities, and those in recovery or reintegrating into society. By harnessing the power of music, we inspire personal growth, build resilience, and create pathways to a brighter future.

We work through 3 pillars: OpporTUNEity Music Connections, OpporTUNEity Community Connections, and OpporTUNEity Records.
Community Connections
OpporTUNEity Community Connections is a certified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that aims to dismantle the school-to-prison pipeline through musically themed educational programming. Specifically, we provide youth programs that are offered in historically underserved communities, and post-incarceration songwriting groups designed to assist with the reentry process (and to positively impact recidivism rates post-incarceration.)
Music Connections
Through OpporTUNEity Music Connections we aim to provide a musical avenue for engagement, collaboration, and rehabilitation to cincarcerated individuals. We offer songwriting, introductory music courses, beatmaking and production. We pride ourselves on our willingness to cultivate an inclusive environment where students are encouraged to explore complex themes and express themselves in a learning space that is free from ego, judgment, and stigma.
OpporTUNEity Records
As the exclusive record label for Opportuneity and its affiliates, our mission is to strengthen humanity through song. Our hope is that our label will one day financially support the work we do in our communities . We help returning citizens and recovering addicts record, publish, and produce their music as incentive to reduce recidivism on the back end of incarceration.
