All in OpporTUNEity

Friday Afternoon OpporTUNEity® Student Reflection: Katelyn Sable

Looking back on the first year of OpporTUNEity® at Anna Maria College, I think about where our students started and compare that to where they are now. I see students who first came here as shy, hesitant, nervous, embarrassed or scared to be creative, but compare them now to the students they’ve become who are the first to give suggestions, be open about what activities we ask them to do, start off drum circles, and make strong creative choices. Seeing how the students have changed to become more independently creative through music has inspired me to want to continue to find new ways to encourage that growth in creativity for them and other students.
